Allow referring to {this_project} in project template rules

Dear Asana Product Dev Team

I have feedback regarding to workflow in the Project Template.

The story is when we have created a Rule to create automatic task in certain Section in a Project. After save this project to Template, the project-section setting in the Rule is lost. So, when I create new Project based on this template, my workflow is not working, the problem is the setting of project-setting is lost or missing. As you can see in the screenshot, the project-setting of new task is missing

as a User, I expect this template would be the [this]- that inherit from the copied project. maybe the developer will use the object variable such “this” so when new project is created, the project target would be the new project and the section setting is not missing.

Hi @Kun_Yong ,

Sounds like a good idea! I voted for it, don’t forget to do the same.

Also, I changed the subject to make your ask more clear. Hope you don’t mind.
