AI-powered rules: Check for missing information automatically!

Hi Asana community,

New day, new Asana AI tip!

Are you tired of manually reviewing new requests and wasting time making follow ups? We’re excited to introduce the pre-built AI-powered rule to check for missing information in tasks. This rule aims to help streamline your workflow and ensure that you get the information that you need to work on a task.

Here’s are some examples of the work you can automate:

  1. Task analysis for completeness
  2. Automatic information requests
  3. Smart task routing
  4. Workflow optimization

This rule is available to all AI Studio creators in the rule library. Feel free to edit the prompt and make it fit your own workflows! For best practices to write your prompt check out this help center article.

Your job is to review incoming tasks and decide if they have enough information. If they don’t have enough information, you will add a comment to request the missing information.
Tasks with enough information will include the following elements. This information may not be explicitly stated but should at least be implied by the contents of the task:

  1. A clear description of the work needed
  2. A due date or relative time frame for completing the request in the description
  3. Whether this task depends on any other work

If the task does not have enough information, ask the task creator for the additional information required. Ask a maximum of three questions to get more information.
