I know there is basic filtering (due date, complete and incomplete tasks) on Asana but please add advanced filtering that allows you to filter a timeline by ANY field (including custom) in boards. Monday.com has this ability and it I think it’s something that is critical for project/product management in Asana.

Hi everyone,
I’m surprised to see that this feature has so few votes at this point.
In my use case, this feature is a major one as we use this Timeline view for our top level management to provide them a high level timeline on projects instead of GANTT View that we use for ourself (project manager) and core project team to give a detailled timeline.
Be able to filter timeline view on specific fields will permit us to clean & simplify informations provided in this timeline.

I can’t believe this thread was closed Filters for Calendars and Timeline (and Boards) - #33 by Amin_Comed , but the actual feature was never implemented. So disappointing. Timeline is such a useful feature, but it lacks basic filtering for years now… In general, I find it hard to believe that it’s hard to implement same filtering and sorting capabilities in all views.
This topic is marked “Considered” which means that’s it’s risen to a level that we may well see it released (though not guaranteed).
If there’s something in the closed topic not present in this topic, please add a post with those details.
