For large scape portfolio management, I need to give access to a portfolio through a team and not have to manage portfolio access individually.

This would be a much more scalable solution for when new team members start. Granting access to a team and a portfolio (and thus all projects within) would simplify granted access to relevant historical and in-flight projects.

+1 Please release this feature :pray: this is much more important to me than portfolio rules or automations. It feels unfinished or like an oversight to this feature. We should be able to search and easily add a team to portfolios, exactly as we can with projects.

New user, that’s what I thought teams were for: to bulk add, regardless of whether it’s a project or a portfolio – that’s how intuitive + sensible. That that isn’t place is, uh, silly.

I 100% agree on the need for this. Adding/removing individual users from our many portfolios with new hires/turnover and when a new portfolio is created is a headache.

Good news to report: This is expected to rollout this month (Jan 2025):

Team sharing on portfolios

Share portfolios with both individual users and entire teams for even better collaboration.

I don’t think that’s known yet, because Asana tends to do that in waves and it’s subject to change depending on results, but usually roughly according to their estimates.

To get the most details, you can become an Asana Ambassador if you like, or otherwise watch Product Updates and Product Launches.
