Following the updates to make “Teamless Projects”, I want to add an Associated Team to Project Templates.
We rely heavily on the previous structure of Teams to organise work and Templates within each of these Teams to create all projects. (Will review in light of the changes but, for now, need to continue as we have been!)
I’ve looked at my existing Templates and selecting a Team on the Template Setting page does not translate to there being an Associated Team when the project is created.
I can’t find this topic already in the Forum and can’t see it mentioned in the help pages.
(FYI, our Flowsana integration offers this capability - when you have a Flowsana-enabled project template, all projects created from that template are automatically set to the same Associated Team as the template.)
Shaq from Asana support here. Let’s connect and review this together. I think I may have a solution for you while your team adjusts to these changes. I just sent you a message.
I will say that Asana is investing a lot into Portfolios as we move away from the team association we forced for so many years. We believe using Portfolios for organizations will be a better expereince and solve a lot of the problems/pain points that came with the project: team association. So, making this shift will allow users to take advantage of the future enhancements and capabilities we add to Portfolios.
