I’d like to request an “Undo” capability directly within the Activity Log.
The problem: The Activity Log does a great job of showing what changed and who changed it — but it’s currently read-only. When something is accidentally modified or deleted (a due date changed, a task moved, a field cleared, an assignee removed), there’s no quick way to reverse it. Today you have to manually recreate the previous state, which is time-consuming and error-prone, especially on busy projects with many collaborators.
The request: Add an “Undo” action next to entries in the Activity Log so users can revert a specific change back to its prior state with one click.
Why it would help:
- Faster recovery from accidental edits or deletions
- Fewer mistakes — no need to remember and manually re-enter the previous value
- More confidence for teams making frequent changes
- Clear audit trail — the Activity Log already knows the before/after state, so undo is a natural extension
Ideal behavior:
- Undo available per individual log entry (revert a single change)
- Optional confirmation before reverting
- The undo action itself is recorded in the Activity Log for traceability
- Works across common changes: due dates, assignees, custom fields, task moves, and deletions
Thanks for considering — this would be a meaningful quality-of-life improvement for teams managing high-volume projects.
