Asana needs a better way of managing archived and deleted goals/portfolio/projects/tasks.
I’d like manage both archived/deleted items (goals/portfolio/projects/tasks/subtasks) in a typical trash bin. For both archive and trash bin, it would be nice to see the original location for each item.
For trash bin:
Especially for the trash bin, we should be able to “empty the trash” instead of needing to open individual deleted item to permanently delete it. This really is not an acceptable workflow.
For archived items:
Archived projects showing up on the left panel under other unarchived projects is not a very clean way of handling this because as the number of projects and teams grow, this list becomes unmanageable. It would better if we can hide/show archived projects on team’s overview page.
Archived projects really should not show up in portfolios as default. It would be nice to have a button to show/hide archived projects in a certain portfolio.
I’ve updated your title slightly to reflect that this thread is now related to a “trash bin” instead I’ll keep you posted if I have any updates on this
Another vote for this. Having deleted items stay in Asana makes integration with apps like power automate and zapier so much harder as there is so much data to sort through
Please can the Asana Developers think about an easier way that we can look through our deleted items? Button that says Recycle Bin? or give Admin Access to the Recycle Bin for the companies site?
