This is FANTASTIC! Question, does your team have a plan in the works to roll subtasks up into the timeline and workload views? I’m putting together some projects for my team and depending on the answer I may need to choose one path vs another.

This is great–is there a way to expand all tasks with subtasks in list view rather than having to expand each one individually?
Not yet. Hopefully that’s a shortcut they’ll be adding.

I’ll crosspost here as this thread makes much more sense than the one I posted in.
TL;DR: This is great and all, but A) the * and ** mentioned above was a real disappointment – need infinite nesting and B) now that we can have custom fields on subtasks we really need to be able to roll them up to their parent, e.g. adding task estimation or costs for all subtasks onto their parent.

if you are searching / looking for photos or files inside a project, anykind of overview where this data is stored, is very important.
to have just an overview of all media - like we have now - is not satisfying (if you have several hundreds of photos).
this kind of overview is standard in e.g. all CRM apps (pipedrive, hubspot etc.), where you may see all attachments for any email you ever wrote or get to/from someone.
so it is just a list showing which list item has any data …
This is great! Being able to see and hide subtasks makes them more useful for us. I also noticed that I can now select multiple subtasks inside a task and drag them using the task handles. I think this is something that didn’t work before, and it’s great that it works now.
However, there are no task handles on subtasks in list view when subtasks are expanded. Being able to quickly drag subtasks in/out of a task would allow us to use subtasks for decluttering.
I still hate the new section header workflow, btw. Can’t we just have a flag to allow ‘:’ at end of a task name convert that task to a section header? Please?
Thank you!!! This is great and I am already putting it to good use. I suggest continuing the approach and allowing sub-sub tasks to show up the same way in the main project screen. Sub-sub tasks are so buried now and making them accessible this same way would be fantastic!

I’m finding that any type of sorting (other than ‘None’) is removing the nested subtasks layout and reverting back to the previous display where you can only view the subtasks after clicking on the parent task. This is a little frustrating and until this is addressed this isn’t going to be an overly helpful feature for us.
This is completely derailing our processes. We track statuses in the parent tasks for a wide view and use subtasks as to track progress and add notes. But now employees are confused with the same fields in every subtask when they aren’t relevant. They are updating in the wrong places and we have lost our overall view due to the inaccuracy this has caused. It should should be an option whether the custom fields carry over to the subtasks or not.
For sure, there is still some room for improving subtasks but this change have changed my life!

Except the task card layout. 
Similarly, I’d like to see a default setting where you can choose to automatically display sub tasks in list view rather than selecting expand all each time I open a list

While it’s wonderful to see subtasks in the project list view, the fact that custom fields from the project are now added by default to subtasks in that project makes things quite frustrating.
We track task status like proofing status with custom fields and use the parent tasks to do this. Now having those same custom fields available in the subtasks makes things very confusing to understand if we’re tracking the parent task or the subtask.
A way to see subtasks in the project view, but not deploy custom fields to subtasks would be great.
hey, when will this feature be available on mobile?
I have the same issue on most of my projects - if I sort then I lose the nested subtasks layout - but I have at least two projects where it still shows nested even when sorted. Is this a bug?
