I am working with another company, who also uses Asana, on a project. This company invited me to join their team however, it seems like I am not able to add “Fields” on their boards. Is there a setting where the other company can provide me access to adding fields?

Adding/modifying/deleting custom fields (the fields themselves, not just changing their values) is accessible to Members but not to Guests. You’re only a Member if you’re login account domain name matches that of the org/workspace; otherwise, you’re Guest. You currently won’t be able to create Teams there either for the same reason. But you’ll be able to do most other day-to-day things.
