I need a workflow where the due date is past a certain number of days it sends an email to the assignee.
Hi @AlbertPinto and thanks for that “straightforward” request 
If you want to send your emails to the assignee, this won’t be natively possible in Asana (the Gmail native integration in rules doesn’t allow using variables, you can only send the email to a specific person chosen in advance).
However, you could use Floswana (a great workflow automation tool for Asana) to send email to the task’s assignee. Flowsana is accessible in the rules, in the category “External actions”.
