Hi everyone, I’m considering upgrading to the Asana Advanced plan and I want to clarify how billing works when reducing seats.
Suppose I have more members now, but later some leave the team. If I go to Billing → reduce seats,
Will my next month’s invoice automatically decrease based on the reduced number of seats?
Or will the price adjustment only take effect at the next renewal date?
I’ve seen that the billing tab allows me to reduce seats, but I’m not sure how quickly this change impacts the actual charges. I’d really appreciate it if anyone could share their experience or clarify this process. Thanks!
You can increase seats at any time and you will be billed pro rata (calculated difference until your mext renewal date) on the spot, that same day.
You can request to decrease seats at any time but your new reduced billing (and reduced seats) will only come into affect upon your next renewal date, whether that is your monthly renewal date or your next annual renewal date.
In other words, you will never get a refund from Asana on what you have already paid upfront, unless in exceptional circumstances, such as if you change your mind and contact support within 24 hours, but that is still not guaranteed.
