Hello! I have been checking different posts in the Forum about Reporting but I haven’t found what I’m looking for so I am posting a new question.
Context: as a manager in the IT department, we would like to check every team member’s work weekly. Not just the number of tasks, but also what kind of tasks each member did that specific week, how much time they spent on it, challenges and issues etc. and create a weekly report per member basis not project basis.
Measures tried so far: a weekly reporting project was created with weeks as sections. We used advanced search, filter by Modification date, select date range for a specific week, then copy the results in the corresponding week section and group by assignee.
Issues:
1.Asana uses task date metadata so it is impossible to filter by calendar date. Even if we filter by modification date, there might be some omissions in the results.
2.Some of the tasks span over multiple weeks, but the same task cannot be in different sections so I have to duplicate it multiple times. However, it will become a different task and I cannot track changes in that task
I am wondering if anyone has been successful in creating such reports. Thank you for your guidance!
