I just found out that it is possible to open projects (and other pages) in Asana Desktop app on macOS by using deep linking.
I.e. if a project has the following link:
https://app.asana.com/0/1177243206263546/1177243277763546
opening the link below on macOS opens this project in the Desktop App:
asanadesktop:///app/0/1177243206263546/1177243277763546

Hi three,
This sounded intriguing to me but I can’t quite tell if it’s something I already do or not. I know, weird, right?
Would you mind expanding a bit on what you mean? I’m pretty new to Asana. Note: I do have an enterprise account and while our account does not have a Super Admin role, I am an admin.
Many thanks for posting! Sharing tips and tricks is such an excellent and generous thing to do.
Take care,
Andy

Deep links allow you to open a specific project/task in Asana Desktop app.
You will be able to use tools like https://www.raycast.com/ to open any project that you need to review frequently with just few keystrokes.
I appreciate this, but it differs from the URL scheme that the iOS mobile app expects (asana:///app/…).
For the life of me, I can’t understand why they would register two different URL schemes for their app.
