User created sections in My Tasks

Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:
Not sure if this is a bug, so much as an oversight when changing/implementing a feature that is now causing a problem elsewhere. If a user has created their own sections within My Tasks they can no longer move tasks into and out of those sections. Now that sections work differently and drag and drop is dead, the only way to move a task to a new section is the select the drop down next to the project name. If the task is not in a project, there is no drop down and the task can’t be moved between sections.

Steps to reproduce:
Create a few Tasks in My Tasks. Create a Section in the middle of those tasks in My Tasks. Try to move any of the tasks in or out of the section.

Browser version:
Doesn’t matter.

Hi @Lauren_Wheat and thanks for reaching out!

I can’t seem to be able to reproduce the issue you’re describing. I’ve gone ahead and created a test section in the middle of My Task, and I’m able to drag and drop it using the 6 little dots next to the task title (How to Get Started With Asana My Tasks | Product Guide • Asana Product Guide).

Could you please check out if you’re able to reproduce the issue with an incognito window? If the issue persists with an incognito window, could you please forward to our support team a screencast illustrating the issue?

Loom is a great app for video screencasts: https://www.useloom.com/

In your video screencast, we recommend that you use a Chrome Incognito window and have your Javascript console open:

Try to include the entire browser window, including URL bar, in the video screencast.

Also, make sure to include the URL of this thread when reaching out to our support team, it will save you from re-explaining everything!

Thanks for your help with this issue, and let me know if there is anything else I can help with!
