User cannot see projects, what's the simplest way to add him?

I have a user that has changed positions at our company.

We currently have about 100 projects that I need him to be able to see, all of them are in the same portfolio and were launched as a project template out of the same team.

I’ve added him to the Portfolio, and he’s already been a part of the team for weeks now.

Now that we’re training him, we’ve discovered that he cannot see these projects. I can assign him tasks that are multi-homed in that project, but the project will not show up on his “Projects” list in the tasks I assign him.

Part of his responsibilities is to “clean up” the list view of the project and move some sections around.

Any ideas on why cannot see them? Am I going to have to manually add him to every project?

I’d rather not put him as a default member of every project via the Project Templates that are used because there’s no need in him getting notifications about anything going on in those projects until the project has reached his area of project development.

I’m new as well but it looks like you can multi select tasks and do things like assign. It appears that you can do that with Projects. Multi select then right click and “share”, access the permissions menu from that and it might work. You can invite him to these and if he is already on them it doesn’t hurt. I haven’t tested this.

I noted that when I moved a task from “my tasks” to a project it did not carry the collaborators with it. It seems that moving some aspects around does not carry some properties. One project they deleted as a test and I still saw them as in it but they could not see the project. When I assigned them to one task in the project then they could see the project and that task. For them they saw the message “invited to project”, “invited to task”. I only saw invited to task.
