Undo and Redo Button for Use in Description, On Comments, etc. Like in Microsoft Word

I often find myself needing this feature when using Asana, this feature edition would help my productivity so much. Please consider and add!

Hi @anon68966729 , welcome to the forum

Until these buttons are added, you can use keyboard shortcuts that will undo (Ctrl+Z) and redo (Ctrl+Shift+Z) actions in the comments or description.

Note: Not a solution but marked as such to elevate a key reply

Hi. I’m new to asana, but was surprised I couldn’t use Ctrl+Z shortcut to call the undo command, if I’ve deleted a task, or edited a field or anything that supports Undo.

Is there a reason it’s not implemented that way, or some other shortcut I’ve missed? if not, perhaps that adds as a suggestion then.

best regards
Björn

You haven’t missed anything. The only undo action is the one displayed in the bottom left corner for some actions. I know Asana knows this is not ideal because people expect to be able to go back.

Similar to this

I mistakenly changed a big part of text from our meeting minutes. But I cannot undo it in Asana. The same thing applies to task description and so on.

Can Asana develop a undo button for the text editing?

This would be a great addition.

Would be great to expand to the notes section too. I use the notes section a lot, and just deleted 8 months worth notes in 1 second :face_with_steam_from_nose:

Ctrl+Z didn’t bring them back

Thanks,
Mark
