Turn off "Show card images" doesnt work

Since the release of that option, the setting turned on, every time i refresh a board
Could you please investigate an fix that bug?

@Forum-team I have tested this in Chrome, and confirmed that deselecting the option to show card images is not persistent.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open board view
2. Go to options > layout options > deselect “show card images”
3. Refresh webpage

Can you put this through to the right product team?

Thanks Jan, you have the same behavior, if you right click on a card>Choose card image>hide card image and reload.

@Oliver_Trebes I’m a bit confused. Are you saying when you toggle “Show card images” it doesn’t work? From my understanding if you’d toggle that setting you then need to “Save view” for the change to stay permanent. I’m not able to reproduce unless I’m mistaken on how this functionality should be working.

I didn’t see it there, and in my mind it is only associated with group/sort/filter.

Phew. Okay, that white “Save View” button is so inconspicuous. I didn’t see it for over a month, and now it takes me a few minutes longer to find it on my 4K screen… And another thing: most actions in Asana work without a save button. That’s why I never thought about it.

Agreed. It certainly is, I remember this being a discussion somewhere else and I proposed if a selection/toggle of some sort was made that the user would get a popup of sorts to notify the user, hey! you made a change “Do you want to save, or discard?”…etc.

There are mixed opinions on this subject, but from a quality-of-life aspect there’s definitely room for improvement. It can’t be too invasive; it needs to be subtle, not enough people are facing this issue…etc.

i think it would be also ok, if the color of the button change to blue, if you need to save the settings, and/or the button is in the header of the layout options

I have seen first hand that many users miss this button when it appears in a project view tab, whenever one changes the layout of a number of things (filter, sort, group, options, columns widths/positions etc) Perhaps making the ‘Save view’ button blue, or somehow more noticeable, will visually draw attention as a ‘call to action’ to hit that button in order to retain the layout; something that many users/customers I work with, tend to miss.
