It just occurred to me, but this seems like it could be a solution to the problem of CC emails.
I think many people will be wondering what I’m talking about because my explanation is insufficient.
Personally, I’ve always included all relevant parties in the CC field of emails for my own projects, but I’ve long questioned this practice. To be honest, when I receive an email CC’d, I feel like I hardly ever read the content. (At least, that’s how it is for me.)
From now on, I plan to reduce the amount of information I enter in the CC field of emails.
The thing with CC’s is that we do not know the other person’s wishes. Some people like to be “in the loop” (or at least think they are involved), others only want to be involved when their input is really needed. But unless they tell you, there is no way to know.
With e-mail you have to be told explicitely, in Asana you can settle this in team- or project guidelines or you can remove yourself from a task. You can even use rules or an assistant to make sure that you are not attached to the info you do not need to know.
