I am testing the add-on Timesheets & Budgets.
If I use the time track-function (actual time) for a task via My tasks, I will find that the same task (e. g. Kick-off, see below) will be put under “No project” a second time.
If I add an amount of time via My tasks, this will no be the case and the time will be added to the correct task/line in the timesheet.
@Neha_Pallavi7 Welcome to the forums!
Without seeing the task detail pane for those two tasks, it’s hard to determine what the real issue is here. My guess is that these are actually two different tasks rather than being the same task. One is part of the Steffis Administrationsplan project, and the other is an orphaned task that is not associated with a project.
One way to provide clarity is to go into the actual project, the Steffis Administrationsplan project, and update the name of the task by adding the project name to the end of the task; then go back to my task and see if both have changed. My guess is they wouldn’t have.
If this doesn’t work, to help refine this and provide a clear solution, would you mind sharing a screenshot of the task detail pane for each of those two tasks?
@Ron_Sanga Thank you fpr welcoming me and answering quickly.
I have checked if it´s the identical task before I posted.
My proof: If I add time in the timesheet to no project > task it adds to project > task.
But of course I followed your advice and changed the task´s name in the project Steffis Adminitrationsplan.
This is the result - the task is unique but appears twice in the timesheet:
