Reinstate time tracking in My Tasks

Time tracking (using the Actual Time field and timer functionality) was recently removed from My Tasks. Now, a task has to be in a project in order for the timer to work. Please add time tracking back to My Tasks. :folded_hands:

There are many reasons to use time tracking for individual tasks that don’t necessarily need to be in a specific project. In addition to actually tracking the time spent on the task, it’s also useful for being able to quickly navigate back to the task with the timer running via the collapsed bar in the bottom right corner of the screen.

I think this recent change also means subtasks, not just My Tasks tasks, lose the ability to have time tracking, so perhaps we should include that in this request?

Thanks,

Larry

A workaround, but a silly one, is adding a task to a project, start the timer and immediately remove the task from te project.

I do not see in time tracking that time is added to specific project, so for the moment this works.

Hey all, I got a message that Asana rolled back this change, and I’m seeing the timer functionality in My Tasks again! :tada: Happy tracking! :stopwatch:
