Adding time to subtasks appears to be very unreliable in our instance.
Noticing this problem for the first time today - feels like a new issue, although we have only upgraded a tier since Feb 1 so new to this, used harvest previously.
I cleared all cookies, started a fresh project, added only Estimated and Actual Time (built in asana custom fields) and tried to reproduce the issue-
@David_Ruder This seems like a service desk ticket to me.
I have the same problem since yesterday. No time tracking in subtasks in the Asana App or Browser.
yeah unfortunately every time I hit the Help section of the website I get this - despite fresh browser, cleared cookies and cache etc.
Addendum - help still kicks me out when using an incognito window, and logging with credentials manually.
Same issue time tracking seem to be disabled across out team sporadically stopped working , logged with support as unable to log time
Same behavior, but this only affects recently created Projects. Older Projects are not affected.
Reproducible behavior: Actual Time entries can not be manually added to Subtasks. The entry field is grayed out.
Live Timer Actual Time entries do work as expected on Subtasks. Manual Actual Time entries do not work.
Workaround: Move the affected Subtasks to top level Tasks. This allows manual Actual Time entries to work as expected.
This issue might qualify as a critical bug, since it represents an unannounced regression of critical time tracking functionality.
I am also having the same issue. Cannot manually add time to subtasks since yesterday. This is a major issue because our team cannot log time in subtasks which is how we have our entire organization setup.
Wish who ever was in charge of the support portal integration at Asana would take ownership of the fact there’s an actual issue and investigate it instead of sticking to the idea that its a local cookie/cache issue.
Has anyone heard from Asana regarding this issue. I’ve submitted a support ticket but haven’t heard anything back. I also, haven’t seen anyone from Asana comment in this thread. Do they even know about this issue?
Hi @Forum-team , could you kindly advise if this apparent bug has been escalated?
My own support ticket has also gone unanswered. A full business day without time entries on subtasks is a real problem.
This bug appears fixed now. Reloading the page restores the expected functionality.
Thanks for the update - can confirm this works for me now too.
