Time tracking for retainers and budgets

Hi, I have just upgrade our agencies Asana and we’re looking to switch from Harvest.

One of the neat features Harvest allowed us to do is assign monthly budgets to a client (8 hours) and be able to see a month-by-month basis if budgets are going over or being achieved. Is this possible to do because I can not figure it out?

We use Asana in conjunction with Harvest, which is really helpful for tracking estimated vs. actual hours and then inputting them against client budgets set in Harvest.

In this case, I would add the native fields “Estimated Hours” and “Actual Hours” to all of the tasks within your projects. From there, you’ll be able to see a roll up of how much time teams are spending per account / per project.

Hi @Matthew_Smith10 If you are creating client specific Project in Asana then using Portfolio you are achieve or You can also achieve with subtask rollup where Parent Task can be client name or project, It depends how you setup Asana. Using formula you can then further calculate Total Cost Vs Client Budget
