Good set of tips, Bastien.
I would also add that when the confirmation message is customised, check if you want to allow members to submit another form. This could make it an easier user journey if they want to submit more than one issue - depending on the nature of the form.

Great topic! One thing we learned with internal forms: Share the link to the form with the team rather than showing them “Go to this project, then go to this section, then click on the form link, and then click on ‘view form’ from there.” In our case, the “view form” step got overlooked and team members were editing the form itself, thinking they were filling it out. At one point, when the form looked weird and a team member wanted to clear their changes, someone actually clicked “Delete form.” :scream: Whoops!

All the rules that referred to submissions were broken, and we had to recreate the form. It wasn’t the end of the world, but we learned a lesson!

Our team is new to Asana, so I don’t blame anybody, it was just a funny story that will hopefully help others not to run into the same issue!

Two other bits of advice:

  1. Be accessible - use descriptive link text (your form’s name, for example)! I also love emojis, but be aware that they are read out to folx using a screen reader, so be logical in your choices!
  2. Use a link shortener if you have one. We have a branded link shortener so we use that for forms: go.unc.edu/[FormName]
