I’m struggling to use task dependencies because if I move a task in Workload View, it will not move dependent tasks in the projects. Is there any way to make this happen automatically?
Note: Not a solution but marked as such to elevate a key reply
There’s no way to achieve that in Workload, but if you click the task to open its task details and you see the task is part of a dependency chain, then you can use one of these approaches to make sure the other tasks’ dates change too:
Also, don’t forget to vote for your request at the top with the purple Vote button.
Thanks,

Hi Asana team !
Is there a plan to improve this point in the roadmap?
It’s a pity to have a view of employee workloads, but not be able to replan directly from it, without running the risk of messing up project schedules.
Thanks

Hi
This is a pretty basic requirement of a PPM solution and the problem is still here. If I set a dependency between tasks/milestones it should be maintained, no matter where I change the date of the root task.
Altering the dates of a root task in the workload view should also update the dependent tasks, it is just expected core functionality of any scheduling solution.
Any chance you can get something sorted Asana?
Thanks
Michael
