Syncing Todoist label as tags in Asana

Hello Asana community,

I’m currently using Zapier as a way to sync the task I create in Todoist to be created as a task into Asana. One problem I faced was that any label that I assign to a new task in Todoist cannot be added as a tag in the newly created task in Asana. As a matter of face, it causes an error and won’t allow the Zap to be executed. Is there any workaround for this? I saw a post about it, but it doesn’t seem like the Asana → Google Sheets Zapier was working properly.

If someone could point me to the right direction, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Hi @yyoo26 , instead of mapping to tags, have you tried mapping to custom fields? (requires a paid Asana plan)

Hey there!

Thank you for your reply! I didn’t think about mapping it to a custom fields, but I definitely can try it out. I just wanted to see if I can use a native Asana feature (tags) that serves the same purpose as to Todoist’s label. I guess there isn’t an easy workaround to solve this issue?

Hi @yyoo26 , I’m not that familiar with Todoist but I can say for certain that Custom fields are far more superior than Tags, in Asana.
