Sync "my task" with Project board

Hi Everyone,
i have created a standard layout like Kanban (to do, in analysis, Dev, etc) for any projects board.
Same thing for any “my task” page related to my colleagues.
Unfortunately it seems that there is not a sync between the pages. So, in case i move from “to do” to “in progress” in “my task” page i don’t see the changes on the projects board where the task remains under the to do list.
Could you help me?
i do something wrong?
thanks

Hello @Jacopo1 welcome to the Asana Community forum

What you are explaining is how it works. If you would like a task to be moved in another project you‘d have to set up rules.

More info on rules here: How to Get Started With Asana My Tasks | Product Guide • Asana Product Guide and here.

Hi, i dont see the rules are useful in this case.
im not asking to move a task from a project to another. im asking to update the task moved from a status to another under the same project on “my task” page (if that task is assigned to me). i have to do it manually twice. first moving from “to do” to “progress” under the project board and then do it again when im on my task page moving from “to do” to “progress”. It’s not automatic.
can you agree with me?
thanks

I also would like a feature to allow this. I wasn’t able to create a custom rule to do that. Maybe a Greasemonkey would do it.

The lack of this feature is very frustrating coming from Jira…

Upvoting this idea as it’s a duplication of work, and very tedious. It makes “My Tasks” ineffective in managing the granular list of actionable Assigned items.

This improvement would make “Rules” much more effective. Hope to see this soon!

so there is still no solution to this issue? this is indeed frustrating and causing double works.

I’m also experiencing the same frustration, especially, coming from a world of Jira.
