I’m with you 100% - the fact that this problem is widespread and solved so cleanly with platforms like Slack and Google makes this extra frustrating. Having just brought two different startups to explore Asana, this makes me extremely likely to dump Asana entirely as it completely blows up the basis for its efficiency
+1 Like many others I have several accounts and need to maintain separation. Please adoptthe same customer friendly system that Slack and zGoogle use. Otherwise I will drop Asana.

+1 - this is important.
+1 Could not believe this is not a feature. Wanted to use it for my personal life using my personal email address from my android app. As it is, this is not viable.

I’ve been experimenting a bit with the account merge process described earlier in the thread and created a new “master” account to test and validate that it works for me and am considering writing up a piece on how close one can get to making that workaround viable if there’s enough interest.
In my case I was able work around the worst blocker by ensuring all of the startups I advise *do not" set Asana to force Google SSO for their domains (doing so will block the merge workaround) but even with this change the way Asana processes email has important implications for cases where I don’t use a fully separate email account so I made sure the new account I created doesn’t itself contain anything so I can catch any spillover.
I still need to switch between my “original” account domains but this is a bit closer to the Google identity model, so it’s a tolerable solution for me.
Really mind-boggling that this is not a feature of this app. After 2+ years of asking, is there even a hint from Asana that it is being considered, or won’t be considered? Really leaving a huge hole for the competition to drive through.
+1 multiple accounts (work+personal email) is an essential feature.

I just advised a client to join Asana. Without multiple account switching this was a big mistake. Great product. Not well adapted to the freelance gig economy. Please fix!!

Highly needed feature. I either not highly efficient for work or not fully productive in my business. +1
