SubTasks Missing Project Field

Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing: Any subtask I’m creating are not being created with the project field even thought the parent task/project has it as a field. The subtasks are inheriting all other fields except for project. This means any task converted to a subtask will loose it’s original project associations. It also makes it nearly impossible to tag subtasks to a project.

Steps to reproduce: Created subtask across projects with and without project as an enabled field. Created subtask within tasks with and without project as a field.

Browser version: Chrome Version 90.0.4430.212 (Official Build) (64-bit

Hi @Alex_Matlin and welcome to the forum!

This is actually not a bug but is the intended behavior of Asana. To access the Projects field on a subtask, you’ll need to use the three-dots men and select “Add to projects”, or use the Tab-P shortcut.

Which is something you should do very carefully, as things can become very confusing… =)
