A user in my org is trying to organize her task list and brought up to me that her subtasks in her task list view are showing under the “No Project” heading. Why would they show as No Project when they are clearly a subtask of a task in X project.
Is this the case for all subtasks or is this a bug?

It is indeed the case for all subtasks. By default, subtasks do not inherit their parent task project. You can find more information in this handy article: How to Use Asana subtasks | Product guide • Asana Product Guide
You can manually add the project by using the Tab+P shortcut or by going to the upper right drop-down and selecting “Add to Project.”
