Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing: While updating a task due date and dependent tasks, the subtasks in the dependency chain are not updating. The screenshots that I’ll include will show the task list after updating tasks with dependencies. The second screenshot will have the subtasks with their dates unchanged.

Steps to reproduce: Update dates for dependent tasks. Have a task, and its subtasks connected in the dependency chain.

Browser version: Google Chrome and Asana Desktop App

What version of Asana are you using (Basic/Premium/Business/Enterprise)? Business

@Christopher_Ayers,

Are you using the new feature shown here? New Auto-shifting Dates for Dependent Tasks in All Views | Asana Product Guide • Asana Product Guide

That’s the only way (wtihout using Flowsana :wink:) to have dependent tasks auto-update in List view. Otherwise, dependent tasks do not automatically update their dates in List view in native Asana; that’s only available in Timeline view.

Phil, thanks for looking at this. I’m updating tasks and dependent tasks, as follows;

Subtasks due dates are not updating during this process.

After following your link, Yes, that is the process that I’m following. Subtasks in the dependency chain are not updating.

I’m going to have to review my dependency chain to see what’s going on.

Crisis Averted. When creating the relative due dates in the template, these three subtasks were not updated.

Hopefully that will fix it.

Sorry for wasting your time. :pray:
