Hi,
is there a way that Asana plays a nice little sound (Pling) when I’ve completed a task? Like the celebrations but as a sound (like in Todoist)?
That would be great!
Thank you!
Viola
Hi @anon61758709, welcome to the Asana Community Forum
Thanks for providing this feedback Hopefully this is something our Product team can implement in the future!
I’ll keep you posted here if I have any updates
Strange this is a function they seem reluctant to apply. I personally wouldn’t mind if they took it a step futher and when certain tasks are completed, all members of the project get a notification. If Sound notifications are too advance, I think im asking for too much.
Sounds still not there? My brain really misses this reward …
Yeah it would be great if it made a sound like Todoist does. I think it would motivate you to get more done. I don’t know for sure, but I’m guessing that if it made a satisfactory sound every time you completed a task it would probably cause a dopamine rush in the body that would spur you on to want to keep getting more stuff done.
I agree, please create a sound. As a blind user of Asana the visual celebrations are obviously not very motivating.
I would also love this feature. I’ve also received this feedback from the internal team. They were used with Microsoft Project’s sound, which used to give them a lil’ brain stimulus
I would also love this feature.

I would also love this feature!
Actually, I expected it while moving to Asana…
Any progress here?
I too would really like to see this implemented. I have ADHD and run a business from home. Working from home alone all day can be quite a quiet affair and it can often be difficult for me to feel like I’m making much headway. That little ‘ding’ that other apps like Microsoft’s To Do use gives me a sense of achievement and a little out-loud confirmation that I’m making progress. I’ve turned the Asana completion animations on and the novelty of seeing the rainbows and animals really perks me up if I’m slogging through a lot of tedious stuff. Completion sounds would be such a welcome addition alongside them.
(I accept that it might not be a huge issue to people across the board, but the lack of sounds is significant enough for me that it has had me contemplating going back to Microsoft to get that much-needed feedback.)
