When due dates are sorted and displayed by date, they will look like this.
1 Date
2 Date 08:00
3 Date 15:00
Personally, I would like the time specification to be displayed first.
1 Date 08:00
2 Date 15:00
3 Date
In the inbox, the “date + time” will be displayed above the “date”.

I rely heavily on My Tasks. I always keep it sorted by Due Date. I find it very frustrating that the items with due times appear at the bottom of the list for that day. It seems like a bug to me. Anything with no time is due at end of day, so shouldn’t the things due at a specific time within the day be above them?
This feature has tripped me up many times since I don’t always look at the whole “Today” list before jumping into some tasks.

I agree, and I’ve wondered about this. If something needs to be done at a specific time rather than just somewhere on the day it is due earlier, so sorting it as you suggest makes more sense.

2025-03-08 I noticed today that:
PC browser: Date takes priority, date + time comes later
Android app: Date takes priority, date + time comes later
iPhone app: Date + time takes priority, date comes later

If something needs to happen before a specific time today, it makes no sense to me to sort these above things that just need to happen today but have no specific time.
The effect it has on me is often:
sigh , I’ll get rid of the due date sort and sort it by hand …
