"Sort" option doesn't apply across devices

Hey everyone!
I’d really appreciate some clarification of an issue I’m experiencing.
In the web version of Asana, I’ve edited the default view of one of my boards to automatically sort my tasks by due date. This works fine on the web, but my tasks in the app are still randomly jumbled and seeing them ordered by due date on my phone is one of the primary reasons why I created this board and adopted this sorting method in the first place. Does anyone know a fix for this? I’d really appreciate it!

You are correct here. As it stands, the view that you have set on the web does not automatically apply to the mobile version. In order to have the same view in the mobile version you will need to go into the mobile view option and repeat the process.

thanks for the quick response. I forgot to mention that I’m on Android and I can’t find the corresponding thread in the forum. Would you be so kind and send a link?

Also, I’ve tried doing this (repeating the sorting process in the mobile app), but I’m not referring to the sorting style in the “My Tasks” view. I’m referring to the tasks in a certain project. When I go into a project, I don’t see any option to sort the tasks by date in that specific project.

Hi @DoraD! I apologize for the mistake. I’ve just run a test with an Android mobile and I was able to see the same default view that I have sorted by default on desktop for Tasks in a particular Project. I was also able to do the sorting process in the mobile app. (You should be able to do see the sorting icon next to the Project name)

Would you mind trying to uninstall and reinstall the app and let me know if you are still unable see it?

thanks again for your help and patience. I indeed can see that option when viewing a project that is in “list mode” (for lack of a better explicative). However, I am unable to sort tasks by due date in projects that I view as a board.
I hope this clarifies the situation.

Just to be sure: when you view a Project in List Mode in mobile you are able to sort tasks by Due date but you can’t see that option in Board View?

Could you please share a screenshot of what you actually see in the sorting option for the Board View?

That’s correct. I’m sending a recording of the list and board view to clarify things. I would kindly ask that you delete the video from the forum when you see it or that you reply letting me know that I can delete it merely for the sake privacy.

I just got un update from our Development Team and the reason why you are not seeing the Sorting Option yet, is due to we are currently rolling out this feature gradually and we hope it will be available for all users soon.
