Slack Integration lists Slack Users, not Asana Users

In an ideal world, my users in Slack would all perfectly match my users in Asana, however, with Slack Connect, enterprise accounts, etc, that’s simply not the case. Unfortunately, assigning a task in Slack only allows me to assign it to Slack users, and not Asana users.

Is there any way around this?

I’m guessing the Slack integration can only see Slack users, but would it be possible to manually type a users name and have Asana find the right person once it’s posted? Any other ideas?

I posted this question over a year ago, and no activity. Does anyone from asana have any input here?

Thank you for the feedback, @Keith_G!
Unfortunately, I don’t think there’s a way around it.
It’s technically possible to get Asana users through Asana API, but the integration only fetch Slack users probably because it’s designed to create tasks for yourself or the person you are talking with.
