I have a project that has a meeting on the 2nd Tue. of every month & I want to assign a task to someone 3 business days beforehand to create & distribute an agenda. Is there a way to set up one repeating task that consistently falls on the right due date? When I tried to make it on the 2nd Mon. of every month, not only did I not like how that wasn’t much advance warning, but sometimes the 2nd Mon. of the month falls after the 2nd Tue. of the month. A workaround was posed, but this colleague is a very hesitant Asana user. The workaround was to create one recurring task for 2nd Tue of the month assigned to agenda maker titled something like “Create & distribute monthly meeting agenda; ADJUST DUE DATE TO 3 BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR to 2nd TUESDAY”. If the colleague is using the recommended My Tasks rules, he will have this pop up to the top of his My Tasks view one week ahead which is enough time to make the due date adjustment. He can then triage the task to Today or Upcoming or even back to Later to have it pop up 3 business days prior (after he’s made the due date adjustment). Is there another option that doesn’t rely so heavily on this colleague’s ability to manage Asana efficiently/effectively?
Hi @Julie_McDougal ,
Currently there isn’t much to change about this, but Asana is considering this update:
