This feature would be so useful. Some features when users request, it’s not that complicated to add, but Asana just doesn’t want to add it.
Why you so stubborn Asana Product Team?

I fully support all of you who want voice recordings / audio messages in Asana Descriptions and Comments! It has become such a useful way to communicate for example in Whatsapp. Voice messages in for example descriptions would be tremendously benefitial for our company! We would love to combine the text in a description that outlines the scope of work / nature of the task with the “Here’s what we have to do and why” background explanation in a voice message.

Would like to see the ability to leave a voice message to a task or comment like Facebook messenger. Simple mic touch and release

Now all the messaging apps “Telegram, What’s app, wechat” supports voice message. Although asana is not a messaging app, but adding a voice ICON, and we can record and send the voice note is not too complicated thing to develop. Hopefully asana will add this feature soon.

There is no such thing as a voice task (yet?). However you could record yourself and attach the file to a task you assign… You can also look if there are voice recording tools that have an Asana integration.

If you’re using an iOS device you should look into our Siri integration, and if you’re on Android, have a look at this thread where forum members have offered some solution

I’ve been following voice input requests since 2016. It’s 2019 now. Wunderlist has had natural language inputs for years. I’m sorry but I’m tired of hearing that “it’s on our list” I don’t believe you are paying attention to user requests.

Dear Asana team,
Do we have this feature? Almost 4 years since this thread started.
I can see ‘Record a Video’ option. Where is ‘Record an Audio’? Many would be comfortable leaving an audio msg instead of Video.
Are yo having it at least part of the roadmap?

Used the Voice recognition feature recently and it works only if your accent is clear enough (to english) and no background noise. Fancy but not great.
Will prefer to have the voice note option finally developed and launched; my team is always on the go.
Alternatively Asana to integrate with Telegram/WhatsApp somehow.
This would be the most used feature for me.

My team is currently trying to decide which platform to use semi-permanently and the voice note capability is key!!

Totally agree, Voice message + possibility to transcript automatically if needed. Would be great additional thing to ASANA
