I use a master-timeline (in a project) to view specific tasks from several projects in a more detailed level than with Portfolios. However, there is no easy way to view quickly which tasks belongs to which project. You have to click on each task. But clicking on each one is not very practical. You should be able to tell which task belongs to which project by simply glancing at my master-timeline.
