Rotating Tasks Without Due Date Between Multiple People?

Hi, I’m trying to figure out if there is a decent way to do rotating tasks without having to manually reassign it to the next person. For tasks without a due date, which seem to be the most difficult to make repeat.

For instance, changing out a trash can. There is no set day for this to happen, just when it happens to get full. And it should go in order of person A, B, and C before repeating.

The only thing I found was this thread, but I didn’t find any of the solutions particularly helpful. I wondered if anything’s changed since then or if anyone else had other ideas. If there is a bot solution, more advice on how to implement it would be appreciated.

As it stands, the option to automatically duplicate tasks once completed is only available for recurring tasks that includes a due date.

If you need to keep one task and automatically assign it to different people, you can use custom fields and Rules. You can add a custom field to your project and then create a rule that automatically assign the task to a specific person when an option is selected.
