Request: Option to Collapse Top UI in board views and Desktop App for Better Focus & Screen Efficiency

The current Asana desktop app UI consumes excessive vertical space. Between the tab bar, project name, search field, and view controls, nearly 25% of the screen height is lost before reaching actionable task content.

For power users managing complex boards & projects, this layout reduces efficiency, especially on smaller monitors or laptops. The inability to collapse or hide elements like the filter bar forces constant scrolling and makes focused work more difficult.

Web users can at least use browser zoom or CSS overrides. Desktop users have no workaround—no “compact mode,” no header minimization, no density control.

Please add a collapsible or compressed view option in the desktop app to allow more usable screen real estate and better focus.

Hi @Mandy_Webb , in case it helps, on the desktop app you can hold the Ctrl key and hit - to zoom out (and + to zoom in) and I think holding Ctrl and using the scroll wheel may also work.

For Macs, replace Ctrl with Cmd.
