I use the “comments mentioning me” widget for most of my project communication, and my team will @ each other for any comment that needs to be read. However, the only way to remove the comment from the “comments mentioning me” widget is to reply to the comment. I usually end up replying with something like “replying to remove the notification”.
Can you make it possible to remove these comments from the “comments mentioning me” widget without replying?
I’ll play the devil’s advocate here. The following should be taken with a grain of salt, I don’t work for Asana, I helped hundreds of clients deploy Asana, and I have strong opinions.
The way you are using is not the way Asana was “designed” to be used. Asking people to mention you in comments because that’s the only comments you’ll “see” is a “bad” behaviour. That’s the wrong solution to a well known problem: receiving too many notifications. It creates a burden on your team because they have to act in a specific way to reach you. And it probably makes you miss a lot of notifications.
Ideal world: Asana is setup properly, you are not added to discussions unless necessary, you read all notifications and archive them one by one. Your inbox should he empty every day. If it is not, there are ways to fix the situation. But applying filters like “mentioned” or asking everyone else to change their behaviour is not a scalable solution.
