It is such a bummer that this still doesn’t exist. I’m needing to be able to recurring tasks for the 2nd week of every quarter. I thought I could work around using the “Weekly” function because my task would be every 13 weeks, but guess what, we Asana only goes up to 12 weeks. GAH! Why can’t we have more than 12 weeks as an option, along with the above mentioned needs of picking a particular day of the month (2nd monday etc.) These seem like simple updates compared to other bells and whistles that have been added. I am still on the hunt for a PM tool that will do this for me.

Dear Asana People,
I am joining the swaths of users asking that due dates have an option to select the “nth” occurrence of a day within a given month. Asana does SO MUCH…I would even trust it to cook me breakfast…but not until I can assign due dates as the “nth” occurrence of a day within a month.

This is CRAZY to me. As I’m moving over so many of the tasks from our last task manager, I’m realizing how lacking Asana is with this feature. It has truly made me question if we can even use this software long term. There are now 20+ tasks counting that were set on a “every third monday” sort of recurrence and I just CAN’T do anything about it. I’m just going to have it set to the first of the month and reschedule it correctly each month. I really am a loss for words, and I know if I had found this thread before such a sunk cost I would probably continue looking else where. Asana seems great, but until it fixes this I will always be looking for a replacement. I am tired and just want to start using a system again, but once things get stabilized I’m going to start digging again.

Basic project management skills should let you schedule based on how you schedule meetings.

I have SOOO many tasks that repeat on the 2nd Friday of each month (for example). I cannot believe this is not an option.

It’s so weird that this hasn’t been added yet. Does anyone know if there is a way to get a comment from Asana? We don’t know if it’s under development, or they don’t think it’s important enough, or it has been rejected for some other reason, or there’s some fundamental flaw in the way the system has been put together that prevents them from doing it.
There has clearly been a lot of other development in the last 3 years, a lot of which smacks of unnecessary bells and whistles, so why not this?

THIS is the main headache with Asana - and it appears customers have begged for it for several years. Why is this not being addressed? Business calendars, deadlines, and meetings are almost all set on “third Thursday” or “fifth working day” so why would this not be added on a tool that is to keep everyone organized? Thanks -

This is really important for the majority of businesses that have a work week. I don’t want recurring tasks scheduled on the weekend!
Our board meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month. I need to schedule tasks to happen X days before the meeting - without this feature I can’t do it. Please add this feature!

Asana, I really want this, and it makes me question in the ability of the company to perform given how widespread this feature is on other platforms. I also feel like this inability is the same reason there’s no syncing with other calendars.
Please resolve this issue, it’s honestly embarrassing explaining how I have to keep up with things sometimes because of this lacking feature.
In the process of moving everything to Asana. Without this feature I will be unable to do so. PLEASE Asana - an issue for over 3 years should be at least considered!!
I work with multiple groups/organizations that utilize Asana and they are all actively looking for a replacement because it lacks this feature. Please add this feature soon!

100% a necessary feature. ToDoist can parse this in plaintext (e.g. "Doctors appointment second friday of every month) for goodness’ sake!

OH my gosh, this would be incredibly helpful. I have tasks to remind me to schedule other tasks I have that work this way. Beneficial would be “next to last Friday” or “Tuesday before last Saturday” or things like that, too.
