I’ve run into an issue in my new(er) role that I never previously experienced with Asana. When I am setting up recurring tasks for my team that are set to a custom repeat of every 2 weeks, scheduled for Weds, Thurs, Fri, the next recurrence of the task is scheduling for Mon, Tues, Weds… which has never been selected for this task.
I’ve tried removing the repeat feature of the task and re-assigning the repeat feature of the task in case it’s a bug somewhere, but nothing has seemed to work. I’ve tried re-assigning the repeat dates without removing the repeat feature on the task and correcting the days as well. Neither of these has had any impact whatsoever, it seems on this bug in the repetition of these tasks.
In case it’s helpful context for anyone’s brain, these are invoices that repeat mid to end of the week every two weeks (and I’ve set up recurring tasks like this before in my prior roles/Asana orgs without similar issues).
I’m unsure as to why this would be happening now/why these tasks continue to want to recur in the front half of the week, rather than the back half of the week as scheduled…
This specific pattern doesn’t exist, you either pick specific days in the week, or “every 2 weeks”, and indeed I believe it will schedule the next one 2 weeks from the latest completion date. Is that your experience?
Unfortunately, no. If these repeat tasks are completed on Friday, it auto-populates to a Monday through Wednesday (rather than Wednesday through Friday) two weeks in the future, as I mentioned above.
Additionally, for custom repeat, specific days of the week can be selected (or at least it appears that way/doesn’t fuss when I select this - and I’ve done this before in my prior org without issue, as mentioned above).
