I use the My tasks board to organize all my work, and I frequently use tasks with recurring due dates. When I complete recurring tasks, however, no matter which column they were originally created in, they all seem to generate new instances in one single column. I thought the default behavior was supposd to be that new instances of a task are created in the same column, but that is not the case for me. Is there a setting to adjust this or is this a bug?
Hi @Siyan - I tested and was able to make a recurring task show up in the same column as the previous one.
My guess is that you have a Rule (automation) set for all new tasks to be routed to the first column.
Click the lighting bolt at the top of your first column (your “MFT” column) and inspect any rules listed there. It’s pretty likely one of them is the cause of the behavior you’re seeing.
