Recurring Project/Workflow with dates and assignments

Admittedly a noob. I have several projects that need to repeat weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc. A power-user friend said their company creates project templates, duplicates them, renames appropriately, and then manually assign tasks and due dates. That seems incredibly cumbersome in 2025, but I haven’t found resources to show me that creating a recurring project with tasks already assigned and due dates being formulaic: first task date + 3 days, third task is 2nd task + 7 days, etc.

Please tell me there’s a way to do this. I can’t see the value in Asana if I have to manually start a project 52 times a year plus assign tasks and dates.

If you lookup “project template” in help.asana.com then you’ll find a solution that allows you to one-time create a model of your project, including relative due dates, and roles, then create projects with all this built-in when you need them.
