Question about tracking hours per project in Asana (filtered by a date range)

At the agency, we have some ongoing projects (with no end date) that we bill by the hour.

We currently use Toggl to track hours, so every month I go to Toggl, filter the billing period (e.g., Feb 8 to Mar 7), and get that month’s hours to invoice the client.

We saw that Asana has a time-tracking solution, but I can’t figure out how to extract the hours worked on a specific project within a specific timeframe. I only get the TOTAL hours for the project, which doesn’t work for this use case.

Is there a way to achieve this with Asana?

You can get sums for hours at the foot of each project section like this:

You can multi-select rows and see tallies in the multi-select black footer bar.

And you can create a project Dashboard chart with specific date ranges, or a Reporting Dashboard chart for cross-project displays.
