Question About Duplicated Tasks Appearing Under My Name

Hi,

I have been assisting another Asana team within my organization and recently became aware of an issue involving duplicated tasks. Members of that team are seeing tasks that indicate I duplicated them from one of their tasks.

The concern is that I have never duplicated any of their tasks, and I do not even have access to their projects. Because of this, I am unsure why these duplicated task records are appearing under my name.

Is there a way for me to view any tasks or activity logs that show tasks attributed to me as duplicated? I would like to review them to better understand what may have happened and, if necessary, delete any tasks that are incorrectly associated with my account.

Any guidance on how to investigate or resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

@Ana_De_La_Mora,

I bet you have repeating tasks that you’re marking complete. Each time you do that, Asana generates a new task for the next recurrence and logs the “…duplicated task…” story at the start of the audit trail.

Thanks Larry. I considered that but not all duplicate tasks are recurring and I also do not have access to the projects the tasks are in.
