Project Template doesn't bring over settings

Why is it when I create a project template with custom fields and specific task categories added that they don’t carry over into my new project correctly. I end up with multiple unnamed categories on my Board and the custom fields don’t come in.

Does the problem occur with a brand new project that you create from that project template? (It shouldn’t, and I’ve not seen any reports of this.)

Or are you expecting changes to a project template will apply to already existing projects? If so, I’m afraid that’s not how it works.
