Project > Options > Fields - No scrollbar?

I pretty sure I used to be able to scroll down on the custom fields in a project to show hide them but it doesn’t appear I have that ability anymore. Anyone else experience this?

Happened to me yesterday as well, I used a larger monitor and reduced by display size so I could see all the tasks (or turn monitor vertical if you have the option). Then later in the day, the scroll bar reappeared.

@Forum-team, I’ve also seen mention of this in Slack. Perhaps worth escalating?

Thanks,

Larry

Hi thank you for your response! I’m using the desktop verion and tried to reduce the screensize but it didn’t work.

Thanks for sharing this @lpb

Hi @Carrie_Turner, I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue.

Just to clarify as I try to reproduce it on my end: You have more fields in the project, but you’re unable to access them by scrolling down, correct?

That is what happened to me. I had more forms than would display on my laptop and no scrool bar.

I’m having the same issue, so are my coworkers. If you hide a field, it automatically bumps it to the bottom of the field list in the options menu - but I can’t scroll down to see them, which means I can’t unhide fields.

To hide a field, you click the arrow in the field header and select hide. To unhide it, you’re supposed to use the “Options” menu where you can see a full list of your fields and hide, unhide, and reorder them. This works fine with Asana in a browser. In the PC desktop app, there is no scroll bar. If you have more than (however many fields fill your screen), you can’t see the ones at the bottom, whether or not they’re hidden. If I hide a field and save the view, I have to open Asana in a browser to get it back.

@Afie - welcome to the forum; I consolidated your posts into the same thread on this topic.

@Julio_V - confirming that some users on our team also have this issue; as others have described, the field list in the customize menu is cut off and there is no scroll bar to access more.

Hi @Julio_V,

Okay this is crazy. Others maybe having this issue but my scroll bar is back.

Feeling a little silly now! But I do see others are having a similar issue.

Thank you!!

Carrie

Hi @Carrie_Turner, not at all! It might have been a glitch, but glad to hear it’s working fine for you now! :raised_hands:

@Stephen_Li, can you confirm if your team is still running into this issue?

@Vanessa_N - we have been seeing this problem intermittently (not all users, not all the time). Last I heard of it happening was last Thursday, but I think it persists with some users sometimes.

Thanks for confirming, @Stephen_Li. Unfortunately, intermittent issues are tricky for us to troubleshoot here in the Forum (especially if they are not widespread) since we don’t have access to account logs. In this case, the best option is to have affected users reach out to our Support team and provide a screencast of the issue happening.

If the users are also impacted by the authentication issue in the Help Center, they can contact Support via this temporary form.

Let me know if there’s anything I can do in the meantime to help!

Hi there, my entire team is also having this issue. Screenshot attached. We have logged in and out, tried different browsers, cleared our caches, etc. There is no scroll bar and the scroller on our mice / trackpads aren’t working either.
