Project Icon Colors Based on Project Status

Recently, my company has been focusing on defining what projects are On Track, On Hold, At Risk, and Off Track.

Currently, one can update the status through Portfolios or in the Overview tab within the project. This is super helpful, but it got me thinking about the icon colors of the project on the left pane.

It could be useful if there was an option to automatically change the icon color based on the Project Status. It would give a high-level overview for members scrolling through their projects, especially in teams with many projects to go through.

Any thoughts on this?

For us, we use those icon colors for other organizational purposes. We like being able to sort projects by color within a Team based on some other criteria (like by owner or by application). Then, we go to the Portfolio for a quick view of all the projects’ statuses.

Makes sense. Just thought it would be great to have options for teams to choose what they prefer!

Great concept, @Mike_Tammaro! Hopefully this is something our Product team can think about for the future.
