Below are the answers to the most asked questions during the webinar, as well as a few we didn’t have a chance to address via Q&A. Let us know in the comments if you have any questions.
- How do I find AI Studio? Does it need to be enabled? Superadmins, domain admins, and division admins can enable AI Studio. You may need to chat with your Admin to turn AI Studio on and ask them to add you as a builder too. Right now, AI Studio access is gated behind an admin-controlled allowlist.
- Who are the current AI partners / which model(s) power Asana’s AI tool? Asana partners right now with OpenAI and Anthropic. You can pick which partners and which of their specific models you’d like to use for your individual workflows.
- What price level of Asana gets access to AI Studio? AI Studio is currently available for Enterprise and Enterprise+ customers with our new pricing tiers. Availability to customers on Advanced annual plans will open up by January 2025.
- Where can I go to learn more about Asana’s AI security, privacy and compliance matters? You can learn more here and read the FAQ at the bottom: Asana AI for Work & Project Management • Asana
- Can Asana see how customers are using their AI tools? We cannot see the content of what you’re creating (that’s private information). We can see some limited meta data, but we have strict guidelines on what we can/cannot see.
- Is there a way to post AI’s reasoning as a comment in the task? Yes! You would add it as an “Add a comment” action, and have AI fill in the content of that comment. Then in the instructions to AI, you would write something like “write your reasoning as a comment on the task”.
- Can AI Studio create subtasks from comments added to a task? If so, can it be set up to look for potential subtasks in comments automatically? Yes, it can! In this scenario, you’d probably want to set up a trigger for “Comment is added”, and an action for “Create subtasks”. You can then instruct the AI to use its judgement to create subtasks, and give it criteria for doing so.
